Researchers from different regions of the world share their findings and shed light on social phenomena within their transnational contexts. This reveals how culture, history, politics and economics are entangled on a global scale – and how important it is to think beyond national entities. Social challenges do not stop at national borders. Climate change, migration, social inequality and political conflicts affect people worldwide – and they require coordinated responses and collective action. To understand these complex issues and develop solutions, it is essential to look beyond one’s own horizons.

The series offers you the opportunity to discover new perspectives on a changing world. You will learn how international collaboration generates innovative solutions, and how joint research helps us to understand and address challenges on a global scale.
